Sun Chlorella Corporation was founded in 1969 in Kyoto, Japan, by Hideo Nakayama. Mr Nakayama suffered from many health concerns and was not expected to live for very long. He decided on the advice of a friend to try chlorella and within months he began to see his health improve steadily. He decided to dedicate his life to the research and promotion of chlorella, and he continued with this venture until his death in 2000, aged 84.

Sun Chlorella Corporation is now managed by the founder’s son, Tetsuaki Nakayama, and is still based in Kyoto. As well as having a strong presence in Japan, where Sun Chlorella is well known as a health food, the company has steadily expanded operations to many countries around the world, such as USA, China, Germany and Brazil.

In 2006 Sun Chlorella Corporation opened an office in London, UK, and we are delighted to be able to offer our products to even more people who are interested in looking after their health and wellbeing by natural methods.

We at Sun Chlorella still abide by our founder's philosophy of always putting ourselves in the customer's place, and living by the primary mission of providing those who desire health with valuable nutritional supplements that of course include chlorella. Already we have spent more than thirty five years on this endeavour, and have been rewarded with accolades from tens of million of people around the world.
